Abstract

Interaction between rail and maritime transport is a priority. This interaction can be distinguished when transport distances are greater than 300 km. When analyzing the interaction between rail and maritime transport it is important to pay attention to the essence, benefits and need of this synergy. However, there are some problems in various areas that are being tackled by organizing a sustainable transport system. These are different technical, legal, departmental and other emerging issues. They need to be investigated in detail, propose solutions, and then the interaction between rail and water can be developed more effectively. In order to indicate the problems in the context of rail and maritime transport synergy it is important to make questionnaire. The study of the interaction between rail and maritime transport in Lithuania is carried out in stages. In the article is presented questionnaire. Economic entities selected for the survey: railway, maritime and railways freight forwarding companies. The questionnaire is carried out in three parts, with the aim of obtaining opinions from different actors involved questionnaire.
