Identification of a rock using geochemical hydrocarbon method is one of the first step to detect a rock that can be a source rock producing hydrocarbon or not. A rock can be identified as a source rock when it has an organic material quantity, quality to producing hydrocarbon, and thermal maturity. Geochemical analysis was done by use of rock eval pyrolysis and vitrinite reflectance data. Based on the geochemical analysis of rock samples of Prabumulih well,
