Abstract

This chapter describes the implementation of the Citation-based Plagiarism Detection (CbPD) approach in a first prototype: CitePlag. The prototype has a Java backend and a HTML5 frontend. CitePlag is available under an open source license. Figure 20 illustrates CitePlag’s system architecture, which is composed of four components: a document parser, a relational database, a detector, and a web-based frontend.
