Abstract

To improve the localization precision of nodes in Wireless sensor networks (WSN s), this paper analyses the shortage of least square localization algorithm (LSL) in WSN s, and then proposes two improved least square algorithms. It is the distance clustering in LSL(LSL-DC) and the distance clustering and minimum related distance in LSL(LSL-DCR). In the two improved algorithms, we give a new method to choose the anchor nodes with the clustering. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithms can improve the localization precision. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
