Abstract

In this paper, a simple and robust method to determine the motion of a single camera installed on a wheeled vehicle is proposed. Under the constraint of the motion of a wheeled vehicle, it will be shown that three correspondent points between two frames are enough to recover a camera motion. The high performance of the proposed method will be demonstrated through the simulation and experiential results in comparison with the famous 8-point and 5-point methods. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
