The article presents a study which examined the effect of the relative humidity on endurance exercise capacity and thermoregulation in the heat. Four cycling trials were completed by eight healthy males at 70 percent of their maximum oxygen uptake until volitional exhaustion. A progressive reduction in endurance exercise capacity in the heat was found as the relative humidity increases.
