Abstract

The Cloud Computing model potentially leverages the diffusionof strong multi-factor authentication systems. In order to systematicallyevaluate the future of cloud-based services for multi-factorauthentication, a 3-rounded Delphi survey with experts in the Germanspeakingarea was conducted. Results indicate the substantially increasingimportance of such services in both organizational and user-centricapplication fields. Furthermore, seven primary success factors have beenidentified. Most critical are factors regarding the ease of adoption as wellas security- and compliance-related issues.
