Abstract

DevOps is increasingly becoming a de facto standard in the industry. Every year, more and more software companies report improvements on their development process and ability to deliver value-added services. The role of Software Engineering professors, teaching boards, and program committees is to take a step back and think over about the skills requirements in the industry and strategies to teach these skills. As a first exercise to discuss DevOps as part of the university curriculum, the DevOps’2018 workshop organized an educational session and a discussion panel. This paper presents the organization of this panel and the discussions that occurred there.
