Abstract

Application of horizontally curved beam systems in the framing of curved highway bridges is discussed. The specific structural components of a steel I-shaped beam system with concrete slab deck are used. A method is presented which makes it possible to secure sufficiently accurate results by using a method of the statically indeterminate analysis of plane grid systems with straight elements.
