Abstract

In this paper, we present the development of a data base of signals used in the oscillometric method of blood pressure measurement in a human arm, the libraries with the interface functionalities to the unify access for the storage data and with the processing of that, besides we show a software implemented using these libraries. The data base include a wide variety of signals records taken to a simulator, in experimental environment and humans records taken in life real environment like hospitals, works and the home. The libraries permit the access to all data base information, such as the performance of digital processing techniques above that. This was programmed using the object oriented programming paradigm, which permit the reusability and extensibility of that. The software is a representative example of the libraries use and a useful tool to the development of investigations about these signals. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
