Indigenous Psychologies: A Contestation for Epistemic Justice

Abstract

This chapter reviews cultural and scientific processes of colonization and Indigenous Psychologies as systems of knowledge and revolutionary movements that promote decolonization. A review of indigenous research methodologies is followed by the description of some examples of Indigenous Psychologies around the world.
