Abstract

Ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers generically are known as EVOH. EVAL is a trademark for EVOH. The mark is owned by Kuraray Co. , Ltd. , and licensed to EVAL Company of America (EVALCA) for manufacture and sale of EVAL resins. Properties of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolyemrs are presented along with brief history of its development and applications in barrier packaging.
