Abstract

The paper presents a new assessment methodology to measure sustainability for product development. The sustainability diamond consists of three dimensions, six criteria at the intersection of sustainability and usage and a variable number of indicators. Furthermore the concept provides opportunities to integrate people and actors (stakeholder) as well as a dynamic aspect, which gives the user the ability to apply the concept to different topics.
