Below follows a complete edition of Jacopo’s text as contained in manuscript V, that is, Vat. Lat. 4826, accompanied by an English translation. A corresponding edition of manuscripts M and F is given without translation in the Appendix (p. 377). For those problems from Chapters 14, 15 and 21 of manuscript M (respectively Chapters v, vi and vii of manuscript F) which have no counterpart in V, a translation (following M except when F is clearly better) is inserted in the corresponding place in the translation of V.
