Abstract

In this essay we reflect on one of the effects of the New High School [(NEM) (Federal Law nº 13.415/2017)] in Rio Grande do Sul. In other words, we specifically deal with the progressive phasing out of school Physical Education and the Human Sciences in general in the "Curriculum Matrix" of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) implemented in the SEDUC ordinance 350/2021 issued by the State Management in the exercise of the 2019–2022 term of office. To achieve the objective, we carried out an analysis of the documents related to what we call curriculum counter-reform. In the end, we concluded by repealing the state regulations and the law that supports the (NEM) in chorus with important national scientific entities.
