Abstract

Databases have become indispensible for conducting biological research. Here we present a brief overview of databases that focus on Solanum lycopersicum. The databases address different needs for researchers, and cover germplasm, mutant, gene expression, metabolism and genome sequence databases. Researchers should familiarize themselves with these resources to make the most out of tomato as a model system.
