Abstract

Based on the fundamental theory of Upper-bound limit analysis of plasticity, the change of the slip surfaces with is shown. Also the limit heights and stability coefficients of the reinforced steep slope with different slope angle, top slope angle, internal friction angle, cohesive, reinforcement tension strength, reinforced spacing, reinforcement arrangement, seismic intensity and additional load were calculated in this paper based on a code written by the authors. The sequence of sensibilities was listed, and the results showed that the internal friction angle and earthquake were the key factors that influenced the critical heights of the reinforced steep slope. © 2008 Science Press Beijing and Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg Geotechnical Engineering for Disaster Mitigation and Rehabilitation.
