Article History Research The development of reading teaching materials using the Dick and Carey model has two research focuses, namely (1) The process of developing reading teaching materials using the Dick and Carey model, (2) The quality of the development of reading teaching materials using the Dick and Carey models. The purpose of this development research is to determine the process of developing teaching materials using the four-D development model and to determine the quality of the development of teaching materials using the Dick and Carey model. The four-D development model has four stages: (1) defining (initial analysis, student analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of learning objectives), (2) design, (3) development, and (4) deployment. Development quality data in the form of data on the validity, effectiveness, and feasibility of content / material has achieved a total score of 80.0. The presentation feasibility got a total score of 89.09. Language eligibility obtained a total score of 88.57. Graphic eligibility received a total score of 88.88. At the level of effectiveness, the results were 93.57. From 28 teacher and student responses.
