Abstract

This paper's main aim is to show the Polish state's decentralisation problem, seen from the Silesian Autonomy Movement's perspective (Ruch Autonomii s̈laoska-RAs̈). The paper presents a brief historical background about the idea of autonomy in Upper Silesia, the RAs̈ postulate of introducing some Spanish and German institutional solutions into the Polish political system, and empirical dates that show the social response of the state regionalisation idea.
