Abstract

Using the methods of case analysis, the influence of Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) on Human Resource Management (HRM) was reviewed and studied. It was shown that HRMIS not only introduced some important theories from other sphere of learning, but also promoted the globalization of HRM, which accelerated the role shift and changed HRM in ways of thinking and behaving. Moreover, HRMIS greatly affect various personnel of HRM, such as chief executive officer, functional manager and common staffs. Furthermore, the development of HRMIS tremendously impact IT industry, including human resources website and HRM Software Company. The results in this paper was expected to propel forward the theories and practices of HRM in China. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
