Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine new forms of state support for the agro-industrial complex (AIC) in the conditions of digital economy, which are the basis of provision of national food security by the example of modern Russia. It is achieved with the help of the horizontal analysis of time rows, which supposes comparison of statistical data of the adjacent time periods; the regression analysis, which allows determining the character of dependence of variables; the method of correlation analysis, which allows determining the connection between the studied statistical indicators for the studied period. The analysis is performed on the basis of the existing statistical information on dynamics of the values of the index of national food security of Russia and expenditures of the federal budget for state support for the AIC in Russia. The authors prove that the applied forms of state support for the AIC are peculiar for low effectiveness, as they suppose high load on the federal budget and do not stimulate the provision of Russia’s national food security. In the conditions of digital economy, new forms of state support for the AIC become accessible – they allow achieving larger effectiveness. The authors offer recommendations for application of these forms and provide the mechanism of action of the offered forms of state support for the AIC in the conditions of digital economy as a basis of food security provision.
