The consequences of climate change are present around the world, expressed in record-breaking temperature increases, whose effects are being felt more strongly, challenging the possibility of a dignified life, among other human rights. At the global level, climate change deepens existing inequalities and discrimination, the ways of adapting to climate change are also unequal, which configures a scenario of environmental injustice that directly affects those who belong to vulnerable and historically excluded groups, among which we find indigenous peoples who maintain a work of defense of the environment as guardians of nature.
