Abstract

Adaptive on-line information systems are able to adapt or to personalize the hyper-document overall structure and content, the navigation help and the layout according to a user’s model. SWAN aims at designing an adaptive web server for on-line information systems about nautical publications. According to a task model, concept filtering and spatial filtering are used to select the relevant information space and to sort its content. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2000.
