Abstract

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic progressive disease of the central nervous system. Individuals with MS suffer from a host of physical symptoms as well as significant cognitive dysfunction. Changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning have a direct association with performance of activities of daily living. This chapter describes the functional changes associated with multiple sclerosis by providing some case examples, and evidence related to research.
