In this article we propose an analysis of the reception of Latin American women's writers (1900-1950). First, we establish a dialogue between critical and social discourses, and then we relate these discourses with our interpretations of female texts. In this context, we study three female images in the critical discourse: the acceptable representation of the woman-mother, the more critical of the feminist and the woman-worker, and, finally, the censured image of the lesbian-woman.
