Abstract

The Internet has become a major source of health-related information and support for cancer patients. Information gained through the Internet can enrich patients’ knowledge about the disease. Better-informed patients are more involved in the decision-making process and more satisfied with the treatment selected. Unfortunately, some information on the Internet can be of low quality and reliability. In this chapter I explore different aspects of Internet-gained information and doctor-patient communication about it.
