Abstract

This research examines the economic viability of converting autonomous robotic systems to use wireless power transfer (WPT) for their dynamic charging during operation. Existing static robot charging models were compared to wireless charging, The analysis was made by developing Matlab model to analyse the process of charging autonomous service robots dynamically wirelessly versus statically by traditional means. The results demonstrated that wireless dynamic charging can potentially significantly increase the productivity for service robots and is economically feasible for the WPT technologies.
