Abstract

The article offers information on how to manage and treat patients with hearing impairments. It states that the American Academy of Audiology suggests going to a certified audiologist to screen a hearing impaired individual and recommends the use of assisted hearing devices. Furthermore, information on the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990, which protects disabled individuals from discrimination, are presented.
