Abstract

Czech Republic electronic signature scheme is based on the EU Directive 1999/93 EC. Currently there are three public certification service providers that passed the process of voluntary accreditation (Directive 1999/93/EC, article 2) and were granted by the regulation body of Czech Republic to provide the services as the accredited certification service provider according to Czech law. The paper is written from the perspective of the PKI supplier that participates strongly on the certification service provider support and also on the support of its customers. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
