This work attempts to identify the nuclear elements of the discipline of property from the liberal revolutions, in order to explain the sense and function of this right in the contemporary legal systems. For this purpose, the basics for the liberal conceptualization of proper- ty and the formulation of its absolute nature are developed, to then explain its conceptual transformation as a functio- nalized power, from the juridification of the “social question“, through the clause of the “social function of property,” which allows sustaining the existence of a plurality of property statues before the liberal Unitarian conception .
