Abstract

Based on the conclusive part of a book devoted to organ transplants, the paper explains how human body parts are produced and distributed. This entails a new design of the frontier between life and death, the frontier of the body and then the political frontiers. The latter are then considered in the light of Karl Polanyi's thought in order to maintain a ban on biomarkets. © Copyright 2010 La Découverte. All rights reserved.
