SUMMARY In this lecture we will introduce the geometric algebra of 3D space, and start to explore some of its features. this will enable us to build up a picture of how geometric algebra can be employed to solve interesting physical problems in geometry and mechanics. 1. The geometric algebra of 3D space. 2. Planes, volumes, and the vector cross product rediscovered.
