Abstract

Designing online collaborative tasks for language learning is a challenge. This article aims to provide guidelines for creating effective online collaborative tasks. First, a definition of an online collaborative task is proposed. Then it comes to discuss the ways task design may relate to theories of learning, practical guidelines and examples for constructing collaborative tasks.
