Entire Roller Wireless Shape Meter and Intelligent Shape Control System for Cold Steel Strip Mills

Abstract

In order to break the foreign monopoly of the shape measurement and control technology for cold steel strip mills, a new generation of the shape meter with entire seamless measuring roller and wireless signal transmission processor, and the intelligent shape control system are developed by the joint innovation of Yanshan University and Anshan Iron and Steel Company. The main technical innovations are as follows. The entire seamless shape measuring roller and the roller surface hardness above 60 HRC completely solve the technical problem of the wounded strip surface by pressing and scratching. The wireless signal transmission processor integrates the analog signal acquisition, the digital signal processing, the signal wireless transmission, and the wireless electricity supply, with the advantages of simple structure and reliable integration. The collaborative control system of mechanism and intelligent models, combining the mechanism model with the intelligent model, improves the control precision, speed and reliability. The shape measurement and control system has been successfully applied in the four cold steel strip mills such as the 1780 mm and 2 130 mm mills in Anshan Iron and Steel Company, the five major technical indexes of the shape detection resolution, the shape control precision, the closed-loop control cycle, and so on, come up to the advanced word level, which proves that the shape measurement and control system is worth promotive applications.
