Abstract

This paper is concerned with the application of new stabilized finite element and finite volume methods for solving the Navier-Stokes equations. These methods are based on local Gauss integration and equal-order conforming or nonconforming finite element pairs. Their performance is investigated through numerical experiments. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
