The five decades old Geneva camp in Dhaka is overcrowded as they have no chance of living outside of the camps because of their statelessness. The camp is a densely-populated settlement having its own natural physical growth is now considered as a long-term settlement rather than temporary holding facilities. This brings a lot of physical, socio-cultural and economic crisis within the settlement. The purpose of this paper is to find out some solutions to mitigate the crisis for housing through some architectural design approach to camp design. The findings are come out by three syntheses through a design exercise by undergraduate level students. Findings show the possibilities of mitigation of existing challenges in socio-cultural as well as physical environment.
