Modifiers can affect sentiment orientation. A modifier can change the intensity and polarity of a sentiment word. This paper focuses on the modified polarity. We analyse five hundred comments on goods from the web, and find three features of modifiers which play important roles in sentiment anlysis: intensity, negation and implicit polarity. We also discuss the polarity and intensity of sentiment words with multi-modifiers. Finally we propose a method to calculate the sentiment orientation of the collocations of modifiers and sentiment words.
