Abstract

This paper presents a data collection network design framework for climatic change monitoring. The framework includes a preliminary screening of the available gauging stations, the selection of response variables to monitor for climatic change, and the grouping (regionalization) of monitoring locations. The methodology is applied to a set of streamflow gauging stations in Canada that monitor pristine catchments. © 1994 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
