Abstract

A small-angle X-ray scattering experimental study of tricalcium silicate (C3S) porous gel has been performed with synchrotron radiation. The experimental scattering intensity data are in accordance with the prediction for a porous fractal model. It is concluded that the porous fractal model describes the real structure better than the classical model which assumes the existence of differentiated macro-, meso- and microporosity.
