Abstract

To decrease the platform’s cubage and electromagnetic interference in the electronic warfare, an effective way is to realize the integration of radar and communication (Radcom). Aiming at the OFDM sharing signal’s high peak-to-side lobe ratio problem caused by random communication data, this paper puts forward the OFDM Radcom waveform based on the spread spectrum modulation and the corresponding systematic implementation method. Using the wideband ambiguity function (WABF), the properties of the multi-carrier integrated signal are analyzed in detail. Furthermore, the process of integrated signal and its system performance are studied. The theoretical analysis and simulation result show that this integrated signal can satisfy radar’s regular target detection.
