Abstract

LASSA fever as it was first noticed early in 1969 in three missionary nurses in Nigeria will be described by Frame et al.1. The disease later affected two laboratory workers at the Yale Arbovirus Research Unit (YARU) in New Haven. Two of the nurses and one of the laboratory workers died. © 1970 Nature Publishing Group.
