The objective of this chapter is to identify areas for the innovative development of all transport modes through the formation of an integral digital transport and logistics environment, and to find the most efficient methods for regulating the financial flows being generated by transit movement of the most important economic assets. We have identified the following areas where the automation and digital transformation of railway cargo transportation within Global Eurasia can be useful: reducing the time required for border and station procedures; innovative development of railway infrastructure in neighbouring states; carriage process automation, unattended technology implementation; overcoming negative trends in the market for short-life cargo transportation. We have analysed trends for the innovative development of road, sea, and air transport within Global Eurasia, including the development of contrailer (rail/road) transportation and "uberisation" patterns in the market for cargo transportation by road. The results of the study can be used by Russian authorities in connection with the economic development and expansion of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other post-Soviet countries in order to address the current problems in ensuring an efficient mechanism for regulating social and economic development and the structure of economic growth factors.
