Abstract

Available empirical and semiempirical formulae predicting cross sections for inelastic two-body collisions of atoms and molecules at low, intermediate, and high collision energy regions are summarized. Some of these were selected to be revisited in detail and visually compared with experimental data, including the latest measurements.
