Sequence of the Gossypium hirsutum D-Genome Alloallele of Legumin A and Its mRNA

Abstract

The nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences are presented for the LegA-D gene and a resequenced portion (3'-nontranslated region) of the LegA-D cDNA C94 that encode a legumin A storage protein. (Genbank accession numbers M69188 and M73072, respectively). Contrary to a previously published sequence C94 is shown to be identical to the predicted mRNA product of LegA-D mRNA.
