AbstractThe purpose of this research described peristilahan, related the terminology, the lexicalmeaning, the cultural meaning, and implementation in learning and teaching materials astext description and the Indonesian language subject class VII 2013 curriculum based onhandicrafts weaving. This research uses the method description with the qualitativestudy. The approach that was used in research is to approach semantic. The subject ofstudy the native speakers language dyaks of Simpakng Hulu aged 35-85 years. Datacollection techniques using, observation, interview and recorded. Data analysis by doinga transcription, interviews then translated in indonesian language, classified, anddrawing conclusions. The results of the study data obtained some 41 term used inweaving handicraft activities. The term was divided into three namely the weaving, 21terms related to seven term used in weaving material, and four terms used in a weaving.In the formation of the term there are three, form namely monomorfemis, polimorfemis,and phrases. The implementation of material text learning using peristilahan in anactivity handicrafts weaving applied to text description and text procedure.Keyword: Terminology , Weaving , the Community Simpakng Hulu
