Defining the human species by its fusion with the environment, the author applies an interdisciplinary rating of Marcel Mauss’ levels of social cohesion to unite archaeological and demographic data on the social integration of primitive and contemporary societies. In this manner, Science, through the union of natural and human disciplines, can contribute to the collective awareness (which has become an ethical imperative due to the current increase in population diversity) of the constant human challenge whereby it integrates things and organisms (human or otherwise), integrating Nature in both possible ways and for the sustainable development of societies
