Abstract

The article reports about the reference book "Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy", as a development in scholarly publishing and its view as a business model and web content management system. The system covers all areas in the study of philosophy which contents are from contributions of various authors from around the world and these contributions are updated from time to time. It is also considered as a business model because it is supported by operating funds from Stanford University, libraries and other private corporations and individuals.
