Abstract

A coating i s a material that is applied t o t he surface of an object to form a continuous film t hat is firmly attached. It is usually based on vegetable oil or resin, with or without pigmentation, with an organic s olvent or water t o prepare a viscous liquid, or a s olvent-free liquid coating or s olid powder coating without solvent. Coatings are a companion engineering material. It relies on t he coated object to exert its protective and decorative eff ects [1]
