Abstract

Nasal dorsal irregularities are troublesome for both patient and surgeon, especially in patients with thin nasal dorsal skin. Many types of grafts and methods have been used for nasal contouring; however, this chapter will describe the use of fascia lata graft for such purpose. Initially, the advantages of the technique will be discussed. Afterward, indications for using the fascia lata (FL) graft will be listed. Then, the surgical technique in terms of harvesting and application will be explained in detail. In the final section, case-oriented examples fulfilled with photographic documentation are included to provide the reader with illustrative information to comprehend easily the application of the fascia lata graft as a camouflage material in rhinoplasty. In the summary, the future techniques and possible alternatives are enlightened for adding a visionary insight.
