This study aimed to examine the effect of counseling focuses on goal-setting to motivate the employees. The hypothesis is there is the samples were 16 supervisors who had a low score of motivation. The design used is a true experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis techniques used was non- parametric analysis of Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the scale of significance of motivation in the experimental group = 0.02 (p <0.05) this means that there is significant difference on the level of motivation of the experimental group between before and after a given treatment form of counseling focuses on goal setting
